Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Polly uses cookies and similar technologies, what choices you have, and how our cookie banner works.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you use our website or related services. Similar technologies may include local storage, SDK identifiers, and security tokens.
Cookies we use
| Type | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Authentication, session management, security, and core product functionality | Session to 1 year |
| Preferences | Language settings, interface choices, and cookie preferences | Up to 1 year |
| Optional analytics | Understand feature usage and product quality after you choose Accept all | Varies by browser and configured provider |
| Payment-related | Fraud prevention and checkout support when payments are enabled | Session or provider-defined |
Your choices
- Use our banner to choose Accept all or Essential only. Optional product analytics remain off until you choose Accept all, for anonymous and signed-in use.
- Reopen cookie preferences from the footer at any time.
- Choosing Essential only after accepting all stops future optional analytics collection and clears relevant browser analytics storage where the browser allows it. It does not automatically delete records already transmitted to remote systems.
- You can also block or clear cookies through your browser settings.
Analytics and experiments
Essential account, security, payment, referral-fulfillment, and learning functions operate independently of optional product analytics.
When enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile performs essential authentication abuse-prevention checks independently of optional analytics consent.
Some A/B variants are selected deterministically for the product experience. Unless you choose Accept all, the product does not read or persist an experiment assignment for that selection.
In the current web configuration, session replay, autocapture, automatic pageviews, and PostHog feature flags are disabled.
External affiliate attribution cookies and CJ or ClickBank conversion reporting are disabled in the current web configuration. Friend-referral and teacher-invite fulfillment can still operate as core functionality.
Important note
Essential cookies are required for sign-in, security, and core product functionality. If you block them, parts of the service may stop working.
